He was predeceased by: his parents, James "J. D." Buie and Mildred Irene Johnson Buie; his wife Susan Buie; his children, Dwight Buie and Amy Susan Buie; and his brothers, Bill Buie and James Buie.
He is survived by: his son David Buie (Wendy) of Somerset; and his grandchildren, Whitney, Emily and Douglas.
