He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Clarence Girkey and Mary Elizabeth Mayfield Girkey; and his siblings, Jessie Clarence Girkey, Jr. of Frankfort, Elizabeth "Libby" Girkey Mink of Somerset, James Austin Girkey of Indianapolis and Mary Jane Girkey Skene of Indianapolis.
He is survived by: his wife Roxana Miller Girkey; his children, Candice Faith Girkey and Gerald "Jay" Ray Girkey, Jr.; and his grandson Daniel Raven Girkey (Brandy).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home (165 KY-2227, Somerset, KY 42503). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks expressions of sympathy be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
