She was predeceased by: her parents, William Blanford Broyles and Ada Broyles (Goff) of Science Hill; her husband James O. Burdine; her son James Timothy Burdine of Somerset; her great grandchildren, Lily Kate Hutchison of Freeport, FL, Benjamin Timothy, David Andrew Wilson of Somerset, KY and Tucker Orwin Burdine of Charleston, SC.; and her siblings, Angie E. Broyles, Estella L. Gallenstein (Broyles), William B. Broyles (Jack), Jo Ann Vaught (Broyles), Betty Mae Stockdale (Broyles), Cloyd D. Broyles (Buddy) and Hollis "Brent" Broyles.
She is survived by: her son Richard Lee Burdine (Cathy C. Burdine) of Niceville, Florida.; her grandchildren, Ashley C. Smith of Tampa, FL, William "Grant" Burdine of Charleston, SC and Anna Catherine Burdine of Freeport, FL; her daughter-in-law Jana Gastineau (Burdine); her grandchildren, Heather Nicole (Burdine), Kidd (Nicholasville), Brittany Marie (Burdine) and Wilson (Somerset); and her siblings, James M. Broyles (Lexington), Harry A. Broyles (Lexington), Jerry Rae (Broyles) and Dick (Science Hill). She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lakeside Memorial Garden (4790 W KY-80, Somerset, KY 42503).
To honor Donna Sue Burdine, the family requests that donations be made in her name to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
