It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Carl Hicks of Somerset, Kentucky, born in Tippecanoe, Ohio, who passed away on October 7, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Henry Hicks and Charlottie Metcalf Hicks; his son Timothy John Hicks; his son-in-law Clinton Ray Bray; and his siblings, George, Bert, Edna, Arleta, Ada and Emma.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Wayne Hicks (Donna) of Somerset, Kentucky, Brittany Nicole Hicks of Somerset, Angela Lynn Bray of Somerset and Lori Anne Hicks Wallace (Bill) of London, Ohio; his grandchildren, Jessica Marie Hicks of Somerset, Kentucky., Michael Gabriel Hicks of Somerset, Kentucky., McKinley J. Hicks of Somerset, Kentucky., Justin Ray Bray (Kelsey Marie) of Somerset, Kentucky. and Joshua Christian Bray (Garianna Mareanett) of Somerset, Kentucky.; and his great grandchildren, Alianna, Reagan, Dallas, Brooklyn, Sawyer, Taya, Mallory and Lillian.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 14th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 15th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Community Harvest Church-God (200 Empire Dr, Somerset, KY 42501). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that expressions of sympathy be made to the Community Harvest Church of God general fund, in memory of Donald Carl Hicks.
