He was predeceased by: his father Ruel Smith. He is survived by: his mother Bertie Bray of Mt; his wife Melissa Taylor Smith; his children, Robert Gene, Dakota James Smith of Somerset and Rebecca Ann Oakes of Sevierville, TN; his half-brother Dustin Smith of Louisville; his stepsiblings, Darrell Merritt of Burnside and Debbie Arnold of London; his half-sister Everly Taylor of Somerset; his grandchildren, Dustin Ridner of Somerset, Thomas "Cody" Alcorn of Sevierville, TN and Trevor Smith of Newton, N. C.; and also Victory. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
