He was predeceased by: his parents, Marita Roberts Pitman and Glen Pitman; and his father-in-law Van R. Cook. He is survived by: his wife Star Cook Pitman; his children, Michael Scott Pitman (Cherish Ellen), Marita Lynn Gutierrez, Dustin Keith Pitman (Sierra Nicole) and Lucretia Star Pitman-Davis (Brandon Cross); his mother-in-law Dorcas N. Cook; his grandchildren, Simone Grigsby, Samantha Grigsby, Jacob Collins, Kaitlyn Bell, Kelsey Bell, Malikye Price, Kenzley Pitman, ChaseLynn Pitman and Lydia Davis; and his siblings, Danny Pitman (Sandy), Charles Pitman (Debbie), Mike Pitman (Gloria), Bruce Pitman (Judy), Diane Holt (Dannie) and Cathy Coner (Billy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and his dog.
