He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Turner and Anna Arthur Turner; his grandmother Collett Turner; his sons, Rodney "Roddy" Turner, Rick Turner and Dwight Griffith; and his granddaughter Brittney Collett Shoap.
He is survived by: his children, Lana Minix (Ish), Gerri Mounce, Paula Nicely (Beney), Marti Huff (Terry), Ronald "Rooney" Turner (Bobbie), Lynn Griffith (Barbara), Tammy Griffith and Bridgett Turner; and his close friend Aaron Benge. He is also survived by six great-great-grandchildren.
