She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Mounce and Alma Mounce (Stewart); her husband James Meece; her sons, Robert Meece and Jeffery Meece; and her brother Johnny Mounce.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Stevens (Rex), Barbara Bullock, Teresa Muse (Doug), Angela Jackson (Neal) and Tony Keith Meece; her grandchildren, Chasity Rollins, Jessica Roberts, Christopher Muse (Billie), Amy Keefe (Joel), Ryan Muse (Renee), Natasha Hall (Sam) and Dustin Meece (Jessica Burton); her great grandchildren, Spencer Rollins, Sophia Rollins, Abilene Muse, Parker Muse, Maggie Muse, Lily Hall, Luna Meece and Sunni James Meece; and her siblings, Lucille Hargis and Howard Mounce.
In lieu of flowers, the family of Bernita Meece has requested expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to Malvin Hill Baptist Church Cemetery and White Lily Baptist Church Cemetery.
