He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Richard and Delores Ann Shoemaker (Harrod); and his former wife Belinda Shoemaker (Carter). He is survived by: his children, Christy Leigh Shoemaker Morris and Chad Shoemaker; his stepdaughter Katy Garland (late Jerry Garland); his siblings, Neal Shoemaker (Sheryl), Dale Shoemaker and Denise Miller (David); his grandchildren, Kylie, Nicole, Madison, Hannah, Morgan, Moira, Macy, Charles, Isaac, Kollin and Mikey; and his nieces, Britani, Brooke and Bree.
Viewing was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Main Chapel (165 KY-2227, Somerset, KY 42503). A graveside service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mill Springs National Cemetery (9044 KY-80, Nancy, KY 42544).
