He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John C. Overton and Monette Fleming Overton; his wife Maria Bruckner Overton; his children, Kathleen Overton (Oscar Bates) and Michael Overton; his siblings, Elizabeth Schroeder (Wayne) of Owensboro and Eddie Overton (Eyvonne) of Lexington; and his grandsons, Courty Alton and Caden Bates. He was also cherished by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
