We are sad to announce that on May 23, 2022, Marilyn East Gaines of Smiths Grove, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Elkins and Hazel Kemble Elkins; her former husband Samuel Fredrick East; and her siblings, Rondell Elkins and Elizabeth Baird.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry "Peanuts" Gaines; her children, Nancy Clark (Scott), Ronnie East (Lisa), Kelly Jenkins (Bob), Phillip Gaines, Ashley Buttram (Mike) and Mike Gaines; her grandchildren, Carson East, Wesley Jenkins (Samantha), Hillary Shreve (Levi), Will Jenkins, Betsy McCoy (Shathan) and Emily Rhoades (Derek); her great grandchildren, Madison Grace Jenkins, Samuel Easton Jenkins, Norah Kate Shreve, Bennett Hill Shreve, Charli Ann McCoy and Axel Dean Rhoades; and her niece Teresa Chism.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society, 1925 River St., Bowling Green, KY 42101.
