He was predeceased by: his former wife Billie Cothron; his sons, Robert Cothron and Scott Cothron; his parents, Warner G. Cothron and Emma Cothron; and his siblings, Emma Lou Calender, Mary Ellen Jones and James Dale Cothron.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Cothron; his children, Fred Cothron (Phyllis), Patty Cothron Smith, Pam Thompson (Mitchell), Sandra Sewell (Danny) and Debra Thompson; and his grandchildren, Cody Cothron (Jennifer), Will Cothron (Madison), Dustin Scott (April), Sandra Hilyer (Noah), Kenny Reeves (Kenndal), Bailee Smith, Sidney Cothron and James Cothron. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
