She was predeceased by: her husband Jim; and her parents, Ronald "Speed" Smith and Ina Mae Smith (Dodds). She is survived by: her children, Ed Decker of Smithland, Tina Kemp (Joe) of Hampton and Crystal Thorning (Derek) of Paducah; her siblings, Ronnie Smith (Dorotha) of Metropolis, IL, Betty Hawkins of Tiline, Bobby Smith of Smithland and Jane Littlejohn (Bill Taber) of Smithland; her grandchildren, Cole Grimes, Ella Byers, Landon Byers and Ainsley Thorning; and her pet Bo.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services (212 E Main St, Salem, KY 42078). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
