He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Mitchell and Geneva Mitchell (Curnel); and his sister Janell Hardin. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Mitchell of Smithland; his children, Tina Kemp (Joe) of Hampton, KY, Crystal Thorning (Derek) of Paducah, KY and Ed Decker (Trish) of Mayfield, KY; his grandchildren, Cole Grimes, Ella Byers, Landon Byers and Ainsley Thorning; and his great grandchildren, Aiden and Casey.
