We are sad to announce that on February 11, 2024, at the age of 88, James Wilford Dukes of Smithland, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wives, Betty Jean Blair Dukes and Joyce Hale Dukes; his parents, Oliver Dukes and Ethel Dukes; his siblings, Lonnie Dukes, Dean Dukes and Sylvia Dukes Dove; his stepson Greg Smith; and his stepgrandson Curtis Smith.
He is survived by: his daughter Debbie DeWeese (Art) of Pelham, AL; his granddaughter Nicole DeWeese Helm (Derrick) of Birmingham, AL; his great grandchildren, Isabella, Ainslee and Josiah Helm of Birmingham, AL; his siblings, Albert Dukes of Paducah and Beatrice Henson (Willis) of Paducah; his stepsons, Everett Smith, Jr. of Smithland and Jeff Smith (Lynn) of Smithland; and his stepgrandson Duell Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
