He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Jack Pierce Yates; his son Nicholas Yates of Smith Mills, Kentucky; his mother Cecelia Sauer Yates of Geneva, Kentucky; his siblings, Lynn McDaniel (Mark) of Henderson, Nancy Hope of Henderson, Julie Shoulders (Richard) of Smith Mills, Beth Wicker (Jon) of Dixon, Kentucky and Jack "P. I."; and his wife Debbie of Geneva, Kentucky. He was also cherished by aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews.
