He was predeceased by: his daughter Kathy Fleeger; and his siblings, Thomas Glassco, William Negley Glassco and Ruby Jenkins. He is survived by: his wife Betty Glassco; his children, James "Jimmy" Martin (Tammy) and Donna Veazey (Terry); his brother Bob Glassco (Georgia Ann); and also Papaw Jim. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
