He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Meyer and Ida "Ita" Meyer; his sons, Michael Claude Meyer and James Mitchell Meyer; and his sisters, Greta Wilson and Claudette Hope.
He is survived by: his wife Bettye Wheeler Meyer of Smith Mills, KY; his daughter-in-law Janet Culver of Smith Mills, KY; his grandchildren, Chelsea Meyer of Smith Mills, KY and Zachary C. Meyer of Henderson, KY; and his great grandchild Nora Meyer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
