She was predeceased by: her parents, Whitson Townsend and Ruby Cates Townsend; her husband Edwin Jones; her son-in-law Robert H. Whitson; her brother Buford Townsend; and her stepgranddaughter Brenda Coomer.
She is survived by: her daughter Jo Ann Whitson of Bowling Green, KY; her friends, Robert and Mary Sue Winstead of Slaughters, KY; and her stepgrandchildren, Bobby Whitson (Jennifer) and Deborah Inman (Joe). She is also survived by 8 step great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Townsend Funeral Home (140 US-41 ALT, Dixon, KY 42409). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
