He is survived by: his children, Keith Townsend (Carolyn) of Fredonia, KY and Kimberly Brown (Jon) of Dixon, KY; his grandchildren, Kara Gardner, Daniel Yancy, Dustin Townsend, Dylan Townsend and Michael Brown; his great grandchildren, Blake Townsend, Caleb Gardner, Brody Yancy, Casey Garrett, Silas Townsend, Audri Garrett, Addy Brown and Nelson Brown; and his siblings, David Townsend of Slaughters, Larry Townsend of Hanson, KY, Michael Townsend of Slaughters, Sharon Copley (Mike) of Slaughters, Jackie Townsend (Shandra) of Slaughters, Roger Townsend of Slaughters, Darryl Townsend (Tonja) of Slaughters, Charlotte Marsh (Bobby) of Slaughters and Ricky Townsend (Shelly) of Sebree. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Harris Funeral Home, Inc. (134 N Main St, Madisonville, KY 42431). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at the Slaughters Cemetery.
