He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Brewer and Thelma Woods; his stepmother Mary Brewer; his sister Marvalene Lay; and his nephew Michael Wayne Brewer.
He is survived by: his wife Lillian Jones Brewer; his siblings, Betty Harris of Campbellsburg, Gary Brewer (Betty Sue) of Pleasureville and Glenn Brewer (Bonnie) of Shelbyville; his children, James Scott "Scotty" Brewer (Lona) of Frankfort and Kimberly Brewer (Robert Medley) of Indiana; his daughter-in-law Lisa Bingham Brewer of Frankfort; and his grandchildren, Josh Brewer (Jestine) of Indiana, Chad Brewer (Tiffany) of Frankfort, Marissa Poole (Nick) of Bagdad and Megan Woodson (Sammy) of Frankfort. He is also survived by his nine great grandchildren.
