She was predeceased by: her parents, Mae Freibert (Walker) and John Freibert; her husband Shirley Stevens, Jr.; and her siblings, John, Peter, Sherwood, Melba and H. Elvira.

She is survived by: her children, Shirley Stevens III (Kathy), Greg Stevens (Debbie), Cyndi Stevens and Cheryl Stevens (Doug Miller). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.
