With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Marie Ashley (Shepherdsville, Kentucky), born in Leitchfield, Kentucky, who passed away on December 31, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Carter and Hazel Carter (Dennison); her husband Teddy Ashley; her son Gary Ashley; her grandson Garry Ashley; and her siblings, Murrell Carter, Elaine Meredith, Brenda Jones, Verna Kountz and Larry Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Ashley (Karen), Michael Ashley (Sheila), Lisa Brown (Tom) and Anthony Ashley; her grandchildren, Mark, Carrie, Jessica, Tara, Krystal, Brittany and Dylan; and her siblings, Billy Carter, Barbara Varner, Pat Portman, Sharon Carter, Sandra Mercer, Johnny Carter and Tommy Carter. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
