With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Vertrice Pettyjohn of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, who passed away on April 18, 2022 at the age of 56. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Vertrice Pettyjohn and Marie Pettyjohn; his daughter Jennifer Pettyjohn; and his siblings, Myre Pettyjohn (Gregg Pettyjohn) and Kathy Waters.

He is survived by: his son Justin Vertrice Pettyjohn (Rachel); his grandchildren, Paisley, Alistair Pettyjohn, Avelyn Pelston, Jayden and Jazlyn; his siblings, Cherryle Lawson, Shannon Burks (Roger), Brenda Rainwater, Debbie Pettyjohn, Vanessa Sears (Mike) and John Pettyjohn (Debbie); his girlfriend Rhonda Gregory; and his friends, Dale, Barry Tinnell, Donald McGlasson and Steve McGrew.
