He is survived by: his wife Linda Thompson (Gnau); his children, Kimberly Downey (Wayne), Richard Troy Thompson (Kathryn) and Charlene Jones (Dustin); and his sister Betty Jo Joy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
