We bid farewell to Richard N. Gent of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 24, 2025 at the age of 74. Richard touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Gent and Dolly Wagner Gent; and his grandson Andrew Dennison. He is survived by: his wife Becky Gent; his daughter Julie Dennison (John); and his grandchildren, Eli, Ricky and Sarah.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165). A burial will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery.
