He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ray and Emogene Abel; his siblings, Horace, Sam, Tom, Connie, Lois and Brenda; and his grandson Michael "Brandon" Ray.
He is survived by: his children, Michael W. Ray (Missy), Don T. Ray (Dawn), Lonny E. Ray (Christy), Allen D. Ray (Tabitha) and Melinda K. Crabtree (Andy); his fiancée Joyce Hayes; and his siblings, John, Glen, Sue and Ruth. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
