Michael Joseph Via Obituary
Michael Via, age 57, of Shepherdsville returned to his Heavenly Father October 27, 2017. Mr. Via was born on January 17, 1960 to the late Warren Via Sr., and Patricia Via. Mr. Via loved music. He loved playing his guitar, singing Johnny Cash songs and was in a band called 65 South. Even though his passion was music, his greatest love was his family.
His grandchildren were his world. Mr. Via will be dearly missed. Among those who have preceded him in death include 2 brothers, Warren Via Jr. and Stevie Via. He leaves to cherish his memory 3 children, Christopher Via, Ashley Richardson, and Jessie Via (Amanda); 7 grandchildren, Sean, Kaleb, Lexie, Gracie, Barrett, Emalynn, and Waylon; 6 brothers and sisters, Debbie, Patricia, Melissa, Johnny, June, and Jamie, numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 2, 2017, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (N. Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Bethany Cemetery to follow. Friends may pay their respects from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday.
