With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin Earl West of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, born in Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on March 11, 2022 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold West and Edith West (Hester); his son Morgan West; his siblings, Ruby West, Charlotte Loyall, Freddie, Jim and Joe West; and his brother-in-law Robert Loyall.

He is survived by: his sisters, June Groves, Gail Martin (Clem) and Beulah West; and his stepchildren, Kimberly "Tinnell" Wiederkehr, Angela Troutman, Jeffrey Tinnell and Kevin Tinnell. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; along with a host of other family members and friends.
