He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Mack and Johnnie Bell "Mammy" Bratten; his former wife Jane Marie Bratten; and his partner Jean Miller. He is survived by: his children, Maria Hatfield (Chris Meece), Valerie Skidmore (Ski), Joseph Wayne Bratten, Jr., Kevin Bratten (Diane) and Gena Clark; his grandchildren, Tera Basham, Shane Quarles, Genifer Tingle (Kyle), Jeffrey Skidmore (Deena Yeager), Jeremy Wayne Bratten (Laura), Joseph Wayne Bratten III, Wesley Clark (Kim) and Leah Henley (Neil); his great grandchildren, MacKenzie Basham, Abbie Tingle, Ellie Tingle, Jaren Bratten, Maddie Lynn Bratten and Chandler Bratten; and his siblings, James Howard Bratten, Lola McNeese "Sissy", Sylvia Griggs and Johnny Bratten. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
