He is survived by: his wife Betty Howlett (Shepherd); his children, Joseph Howlett III, Rick Howlett (Vicki), Jerry Howlett (Patty), Eddie Howlett (Jenny), Patty Mulcahy (Kevin) and Melanie Mitchell; and his siblings, Bud Howlett (Helen), Mildred Bishop (Pokey) and Lucille Bishop.
