He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Ashbaugh and LaVerne Ashbaugh; and his siblings, Steve, Donald, Tommy, Anthony Ashbaugh and Lana Decker.
He is survived by: his spouse Roberta Ashbaugh; his sons, Joseph Ashbaugh Jr., Jacob Ashbaugh (Katie) and James Ashbaugh; his grandchildren, Cameron, Averie and Weston Ashbaugh; and his siblings, Johnny, Jesse, Terry, Fonda Ashbaugh and Connie Riggs.
