He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis H. Massey and Margery Edgar Massey; and his wife Lucy Dwyer Massey. He is survived by: his children, Jeff Massey (Trish) and Jacquie Massey; his grandchildren, Brian Massey (Angela), Jennifer Gorges (John) and Sean Massey; his great grandchildren, Vivian Kate and James Matthew; and his siblings, Louis Q. Massey (Geraldine), Harold W. Massey (Charlotte), Rosie Curry (Don) and Carolyn Beard (Dean).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Gerald's name to the Baptist East Hospital Foundation and a special request to wear masks until the Covid-19 crises is eliminated. Services are private due to Covid-19 restrictions, interment at Brookland Cemetery.
