It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Stivers Long (Shepherdsville, Kentucky), who passed away on February 28, 2019, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Dorsey Long; her parents, Earl Newman and Sophia Newman; and her siblings, Janet Arlene Beams of Linda Gillispie and Dennis Newman.
She is survived by: her sons, Bobby Stivers and Charles Stivers (Carolee); her siblings, Judy Clapp (Jerry), Rosie Lawson and David Newman (Cathy); and her stepchildren, Mike Long and Deana Long. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
