She is survived by: her parents, Charles Thomas Vaughn and Shirley Mae "Logsdon" Vaughn; her husband John Allen Bates; her children, David Vaughn (Penny) and Christina Goodin (Bear); and her siblings, Chuck Vaughn (Sandy), Ervin Vaughn (Blossom), Billy Joe Vaughn (Pam), Mark Nellum (Mia) and Shannon Brennan (Bill). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 8 great- grandchildren.
