He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Downey and Juanita Downey. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Downey; his sons, David L. Downey, Sr. (Julie), Derrick Downey (Kimberly), Darrin Downey and Doyle Downey (Deanna); his sister Devona Abney (Larry); and his grandchildren, David L. Downey, Jr. (Tarrah), Justin Downey (Marie), Brandon Downey, Olivia Downey, Ian Downey, Noah Downey, Finnegan Downey and Conall Downey.
