He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Berry and Margaret Berry (Poole); and his brothers, Larry Berry and Sonny Berry. He is survived by: his wife Ella Berry; his children, Jonathan Berry (Gloria), Brigette Wine' and Jennifer Berry; and his stepchildren, Melissa Kennedy (William) and Michael Skaggs (Larie). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
