He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Benningfield and Sarah Benningfield; his wife Wyvetta Benningfield; his great grandchildren, Lillian, Luna Benningfield and Xavier Perkins; and his sister Myra McCarthy.
He is survived by: his children, Rodney Benningfield (Loraine), Landon Benningfield, Paula Perkins (Terry) and Elana Miles (Jeff Parker); and his siblings, Ivan Benningfield, Laurene Tedder (Roy), Marjorie Campbell and Willa Bryant (Joe). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
