He was predeceased by: his parents, James Akins and Rachael Akins; and his siblings, Jim, Kathy and Carolyn.
He is survived by: his wife Charlene Miller; his children, Kelly Akins-Allen (Kevin) and Scott Akins (Bobbie); his granddaughter Karlee Rhea Allen; and his pets, Zoey and Yola.
Donations to the Humane Society in Bob Akins honor would be the biggest gift.
