He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Larkin and Hester Larkin; and his stepson Corey Waddle. He is survived by: his wife Nikki Larkin of Shelbyville; his children, Sean Larkin (Cinnamon) of Lexington, Nicole Larkin of Lexington, Noble Larkin (Caitlin) of Lexington and Scott Waddle of Shelbyville; his godchildren, Pamela Bell of Shelbyville, Rebecca Bell of Shelbyville and Todd Bell of Shelbyville; and his brothers, Dick Larkin (Fredericka) of Tennessee and Mike Larkin (Geneva). He is also survived by six grandchildren.

“I was honored to have Bob Larkin as a friend. We met years ago through our mutual love of our adorable dogs. Bob is one of the kindest humans I have ever known. On the day he left this earthly life, several of us were gathered at Pups in the Park, an annual event he loved. I feared something was wrong when he wasn’t there and didn't respond to my text message. The photo books he made from prior years were there, as was Bob’s spirit. God speed, my friend.”
