She was predeceased by: her parents, James Murray "Hipp" Whitaker and Grace Green McKinley Whitaker; her husband James Gilbert McClain; and her siblings, Jimmy Whitaker and Catherine Alford.
She is survived by: her children, James Owen McClain of Pleasureville and Pamela Kay McClaine of Shepherdsville; and her brother David Ray "Butch" Whitaker of Taylorsville. She is also survived by her five grandchildren and her six great-grandchildren.
