She was predeceased by: her parents, Fannie Skinner Bullitt and Ernest Bullitt, Sr.; her husband James Robert "Bobby" Ashby; and her siblings, Ernest Bullitt, Jr. and Mary Catherine Ellis.
She is survived by: her children, Robbie A. Coleman of Crestwood, Pamela T. Wade (Clifton) of Penhook, VA and Rev. Charles Ashby (Debra) of Shelbyville; her brother Robert Bullitt of Chicago, IL; and her grandchildren, Stephen V. Coleman, Jr., Angela Denise Coleman, Bryan Ashby Whitlow (Jennifer), Christopher West Whitlow, Eric Justin Wade and Cary Dupree Wade. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
