He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Rutledge Lilly, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Parker Lilly; and his sister Mary Elizabeth Hintze. He is survived by: his wife Ann Morgan Lilly; his children, Ann Lilly Joseph of Dallas and Tres Lilly of El Paso; his grandsons, Christopher Marc and Samuel Morgan; his son-in-law Marc Joseph; his brother Cooper Lilly (Sally) of Lexington; his nephews, Cooper and Parker Lilly; his sister Julia Atterberry (J. P.) of Milwaukee; and his cousins, Innes Dobbins (Janie) and Stephen Dobbins of Louisville.
