Jim Biagi wrote a sympathy message

“Eddie was a mentor for me at Biagi's Store for many years. I was eight when he came to work there. We moved appliances, put up TV antennas, delivered bottle gas, baled hay on our farm....and stripped tobacco together the Sunday afternoon of the first Super Bowl Game in 1967... where I got the pickup truck stuck and almost caused Ed to miss the game...but we did make it and he got home in time to see the game he loved so much. Eddie, I hope I make it to meet you again at the biggest game of all!”
