He is survived by: his wife Linda Odle Yates of Shelbyville; his sons, David Allan Yates, Jr. of Bagdad and Daniel Joseph Yates of Shelbyville; his brothers, Arthur Eugene Yates, Jr. of Shelbyville and Richard Yates of Louisville; and his granddaughters, Sydney Yates of Bagdad, Hannah Yates of Bagdad and Camryn Yates of Bagdad.
