He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Smith and Susie Catherine Tindall Haydon; his son Steven Hawkins; his grandson Zack Haydon; and his brother Gilbert Haydon.
He is survived by: his wife Orvilla Haydon of Waddy; his children, Kathy Smither (Michael) of Shelbyville, Tim Hawkins (Lora) of Shelbyville, Denise Nation of Shelbyville, Debbie Brooks (Mark) of Shelbyville, Linda Sue Bryant (Tim) of Shelbyville and Michelle Nethery (Todd) of Mount Eden; and his siblings, Cheryl Moore (Reed) of Campbellsburg, Ronnie Haydon (Charlotte) of Shelbyville, Gary Haydon (Gwyna) of Shelbyville, Danny Haydon of Shelbyville and Terry Haydon (Margaret) of Somerset. He is also survived by his seventeen grandchildren; his thirty-two great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
