With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Catherine Ramirez of Shelbyville, Kentucky, born in Lexington, Kentucky, who passed away on September 1, 2021 at the age of 53. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vincent "Vince" and Linda Abrams Asay; and her brother Anthony "Tony" D. Asay, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Christopher Lynn Whitaker of Frankfort, Rebecca Whitaker (Edgar Zapata) of Lawrenceburg, Lindsay Nicole Lopez (Gustavo) of Shelbyville and Joshua Coleman Whitaker (Samantha Moore) of Lawrenceburg; her siblings, Richard "Ricky" Asay (Michelle) of Taylorsville and Wanda Asay (Harold) of Lawrenceburg; her sister-in-law Valerie Asay of Shelbyville; and her close friend Jimmy Bryant of Lawrenceburg. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
