He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Farris and Isabelle Farris; his siblings, James Roger Farris, Sr., Leon Farris and Katy Robinson; and his grandsons, Trey Williams and Cody Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Farris; his children, Theresa Farris Wright (Jimmy) of Shelbyville, Diana Farris of Shelbyville, Stephanie Williams (Gardner) of Shelbyville and Ben Thomas Farris, Jr. (Sherry) of Henry County; his stepsons, James Hassell of Shelbyville, Wallace Hassell (Angela) of Louisville and Robert Hassell of Louisville; and his brothers, Donald Ray Farris of Louisville, Edward Farris of Shelbyville and Melvin Farris of Shelbyville. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
