She is survived by: her sons, James "Jimmy" Howard Dempsey of Nacogdoches, TX and John Mark Dempsey of Shelbyville; her granddaughter Kimberly Dempsey Millard of Richmond; and her great grandchildren, Nicholas Rion of Shelbyville, Kadelin Cowan of Richmond, Gracelyn Hopkins-Cowan of Richmond and Jacob Pitman of Richmond.
