He was predeceased by: his parents, James William and Charlotte Bertha Samples Broughton. He is survived by: his children, Donna Moore (Wayne) of Frankfort, Dorothy Minks (Billy) of Pleasureville, Sandra Shields of New Albany, Indiana, Paul Broughton of Frankfort, Danny Broughton of Pleasureville and David Broughton (Pam) of Shelbyville; and his sisters, Marcella Popp of Shelbyville, Josephine "Jo Jo" Heltsley of Shelbyville and Mary Lou Holt of Shelbyville. He is also survived by his twenty-two grandchildren, his thirty-six great-grandchildren, and his three great-great-grandchildren.
